Our protective care units provide support and an environment tailored to the needs of people with moderate dementia who have a tendency to wander, self-harm or display aggressive behaviour. Besides offering a fixed programme of daily activities, residents enjoy the spacious outdoor areas attached to the protective care unit.
The personal liberty of the people entrusted to our care is a key human right: admission to our protective care unit is therefore subject to a court order. Our care and support concept is aimed at zero per cent use of liberty-depriving measures. By using modern sensor technology, we also track the secured opening of the protective care units. The impression of a spatial restriction should thus be avoided.
